Gray's Harbor in Washington state is one of six major estuaries on the Pacific Coast. Each spring its vast tidal flats host hundreds of thousands of migratory shorebirds on their way to their Arctic breeding grounds. The estuary provides critical food resources that help fuel these long distance shorebird migrations.
